Have you been fooled by the battery company into making you buy a new battery because your current car battery is dead?
If Only I New How to Recondition a Dead Battery
Well, I did get trolled and here’s the story:
It was an awesome night for me as my mother was just landing from here visit abroad and I was supposed to pick her up.
I own a Honda Fit Hybrid GP1 and it’s an awesome car. It has never caused any troubles before, until that day. I tried opening the car (smart key) but no response. I tried many times from many angles, it just never responded.
I was so impatiently trying to get the key out to open the door manually and voila, I broke the spring. It’s embarrassing to admit that I pulled it the wrong way in the moment.
I got in to find out another embarrassing problem. I had left the door light on, and it had been 2 days since I last drove the car. Now we know why the car battery is dead J
It was the middle of the night, at 2AM and I called my mother and told I won’t be able to make it as it was already late and she was waiting. Thankfully, she got dropped by uncle.
Exide has a service in my country called the BattMobil. They attend to emergencies with a spare battery to help us get back on the road. They said they will be there in the morning and he showed up in the afternoon. I didn’t mind it as I was in no hurry to go out anywhere.
** I know you must be laughing at the name BattMobil. Haha, but I’m not making any of this up.
So the guy checks the current battery with some gadget and immediately pronounces my car battery dead. He offers me a 12% discount on a new battery from their company in exchange for my current battery. I had no choice, thinking the battery is a goner either way, so might as well get a discount out of it.
Little did I know how stupid that was! The next day I tell this story to my co-worker being excited on how BattMobil was such a great help and he just slapped the reality into me. I just got trolled.
I just gave up a genuine Japanese “Made for Honda” battery for a normal brand. My co-worker was so confident that they would re-condition the battery and sell it for a very good price.
I felt so furious but what could be done? I had already finished the deal and my car is now working fine.
Now you know my story.
What did you get out my trolled up story?
In my opinion, the moral of the story is to call up 2 to 3 friends and ask for advice on what could be done!
Yes, that’s how important friends are.
What is the Second moral of this story? Battery Reconditioning.
The battery company knows it’s a money making industry. You could do it. I could do it! It’s a great concept, but how do you recondition a car battery or any rechargeable battery for that matter?
Youtube & Google would be the smart answer. There you go.
It would take days to learn through all that information to get a proper idea of how to actually get the job done,
You could simply get hold of EZ Battery Reconditioning Program by Tom Ericson, where everything is laid out step by step.
Who is the EZ Battery Reconditioning program NOT recommended for?
If you are looking for a 1 page step by step instruction manual, on how to fit the necessary things to get the job done, then this program is not for you.
This program is for those who wish to learn how Battery Reconditioning works, so you are fully aware of the pros and cons of it.
